Of the 181,452 tonnes of reported WEEE*, 45,515 tonnes were reported directly through BeWeee. That is 7 times more in 7 years.

Most of the reported EEE* consists of electro-appliances. But the share of photovoltaic solar panels is increasing every year. For instance, 55,976 tonnes of solar panels were put on the market in 2024.

In Belgium, we have reached the milestone of 61.93% (excluding PV).


The total collection rate (OOM/POM) including solar panels for the year 2024 is 51.31%. This figure is slightly higher than in 2023.
In the coming years, BeWeee intends to do even better to further increase the reporting rate and to reach a collection rate of 65%. Companies and organisations will continue to be addressed individually and collectively to fulfil their obligations.
